The pieces were created by 10 students, selected by the schools’ art teachers and prepared for public display in Veridian’s branch at 315 Oak Ridge Circle in Waverly. The Premiere will unveil the collection from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

“ArtShare is a partnership to recognize and celebrate the talent of local student-artists,” said Brittney Diercks, Veridian’s branch manager. “We’re grateful to be able to decorate our branch with their work, and happy to offer the students a public space to share it with their community.”

Veridian created ArtShare to be a public forum for art created by local high school students across the state. In Waverly, the display will feature 20 pieces, including paintings and drawings. A preview of the collection will be posted to Veridian’s Facebook page prior to the premiere. After the event, the collection will remain on display for a year.

Waverly-Shell Rock High School students featured in the 2015 ArtShare Premiere include Danielle Akers, Camryn Beam, Haley Eckenrod, Katie Foy, Greer Henderson, Jillian Huser, Josi Kramer, Skyler Monaghan, Chelsea Poesch and Brooke Wittfoth.
