Veridian Credit Union will unveil its 13th annual display of student art at an upcoming ArtShare Premiere in Ankeny. ArtShare is a collection of art created by local high school students. Pieces are selected by the art teachers in all three Ankeny high schools and professionally framed or prepared for public display in Veridian’s branch. The upcoming ArtShare Premiere will showcase the 2015 collection from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 in Veridian’s branch at 1201 S. Ankeny Blvd.

“ArtShare is a recognition and celebration of our talented, local student-artists,” said Michele Starkenburg, Veridian’s branch manager. “We’re grateful to the students for allowing us to decorate our branch with their work. And by doing so, we’re sharing our appreciation for their work with our community.”

The display features more than 35 pieces in mediums ranging from digital photography and graphic design to paintings and pottery. A preview of the collection will be posted to Veridian’s Facebook page prior to the premiere. After the event, the collection will remain on display for the rest of the year.  The ArtShare Premiere is held in conjunction with the Ankeny Chamber’s Business After Hours event. Admission is free and open to the public, and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
