What is a debit card?

A debit card lets you conveniently access the money in your checking account without writing a check. It works similar to a credit card, but purchases are paid directly from your checking account.

With a Veridian debit card, you can:
•    Make purchases anywhere Visa® is accepted, online or in person.
•    Tap, insert, or swipe your card and choose to process transactions as credit or debit.
•    Withdraw cash, make deposits, and check balances at ATMs. Veridian's ATMs are free to use, and you can make up to 10 free withdrawals* a month at other ATMs within our SHAZAM Privileged Status Network or MoneyPass Network.
•    Turn your card on or off and manage card controls through My Cards in Digital Banking.

*The institution that owns the ATM may charge a fee. Veridian charges $1.50 per withdrawal after 10 free monthly withdrawals from non-Veridian ATMs.
