Summary

The VI Agent Associate works closely with agency producers and is proficient in multi-line capability. The position assists with sales and service where needed and as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Creates excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
  • Provide executive and administrative assistance to the agency manager and develop proficiencies in the agency management system.
  • Maintain multi-line licensure, in order to provide assistance to all lines of business: personal, commercial, life and health.
  • Manage and maintain existing customer accounts including quotes and renewals, answering questions, processing requested changes, and updating records in the agency management systems.
  • Participate in meetings with prospects, serving as a point of contact as needed.
  • Review customer, policy and claim information for accuracy, appropriateness, searching for additional coverage options and opportunities.
  • Determine cross selling opportunities with clients and referring said opportunities to appropriate Veridian personnel.
  • Represent Veridian in a positive light in all professional duties. Develops potential referrals and sales of Veridian products and services via personal and professional contacts.
  • Contribute positively to team effort by consistently achieving established goals and expectations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items over 10 pounds.
  • Remain sedentary (seated) for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel

Limited travel expected.

Required Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3+ years experience in an independent insurance agency setting.
  • Licensed insurance agent.
  • Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Experience utilizing Applied Systems' TAM agency management system. 
  • Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation or equivalent.
