Veridian's Community Shred Day is set for May 20.

Veridian hosts Community Shred Day twice each year to help you protect your identity by safely destroying unwanted, sensitive documents. Our spring Community Shred Day is coming up on May 20 at the following Veridian branches:

On-site Information Destruction will provide on-site shredding services from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public, and all shredded paper will be recycled into commercial-grade paper towels, toilet paper and other paper products. Each individual can bring up to two 25-pound containers of documents to shred. Please note there will not be a computer-recycling service at the spring Community Shred Day.

Since the credit union's first Community Shred Day in 2009, Veridian has helped approximately 25,000 people shred more than 600,000 pounds of sensitive, unwanted documents. That equates to an estimated 5,000 trees and nearly $70,000 saved.

Veridian will also offer a free shred service for members to safely discard unwanted, sensitive documents in locked bins located inside five more branches. Please limit materials to shred at these locations to a maximum of 25 pounds per person.

Secure shred bins will be available at the following branches during regular business hours:
