Is there a penalty to close a CD early or before maturity?

You may renew your CD during the 24-day renewal window, which begins 14 days before maturity and ends 10 days after maturity.

If you wish to close your CD, you may do so without penalty at maturity or during the 10-day grace period after maturity.

If you request to close your CD outside of maturity, an early withdrawal penalty will apply as follows:

• CD term of 12 months or less: Penalty equals 90 days of interest
• CD term greater than 12 months: Penalty equals 180 days of interest
