What do I do with torn or damaged money?
Veridian does not accept mutilated currency. Currency is considered mutilated when:
• One-half or less of the original note remains, or
• The condition of the note makes its value difficult to determine.
Mutilated currency may be submitted to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) for review and possible redemption. Visit The Bureau of Engraving & Printing for instructions.
If mailing or shipping a submission, include a completed BEP Form 5283.
