Coralville's annual 4th of July celebration
The multi-day festival includes a 5K run / walk, entertainment, food, a free concert on July 3, parade, the area's largest Independence Day parade, free family-friendly activities in the park including a petting zoo, and fireworks in S.T. Morrison Park on July 4.
Veridian is proud to sponsor the main stage for the free concert in S.T. Morrison Park on July 3. Headline artist Phil Vassar will take the stage at 8:00 pm. Phil Vassar penned hits for country stars like Collin Raye (“Little Red Rodeo”), Alan Jackson (“Right on the Money”), Tim McGraw (“My Next Thirty Years” and “For a Little While”), Jo Dee Messina (“Bye Bye” and “Alright”), and Blackhawk (“Postmarked Birmingham”).
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his breakout hit “Just Another Day in Paradise,” the piano-pounding powerhouse is embarking on his “25 Years of Paradise” tour. His show, which includes both timeless hits and covers of musical icons like Billy Joel and Elton John, brings a new life to his catalog, with nightly changes in the setlist.
The special opening guest is Chapel Hart. The Mississippi trio has taken the country music industry by storm. Deemed “America’s sweethearts,” the trio received praise from country music pillars such as Tanya Tucker, Darius Rucker, and Dolly Parton. Soon after, the ladies made their Grand Ole Opry debut and received four standing ovations.
