Facilities Specialist

Summary

The Facilities Specialist, under the guidance of the Manager of Facilities, is responsible for general maintenance and a variety of daily tasks to pro-actively maintain all Veridian facilities.

Essential Functions

• Inspect all facilities on a regular basis and ensure that all building systems and operations are working efficiently.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry duties as required.
• Assist Manager in coordination of building and remodeling projects.
• Set up for meetings, etc., at the direction of Manager.
• Responsible for pickup/delivery of supplies, etc., at the direction of Manager.
• Responsible for pro-actively maintaining a professional image at all credit union offices (interior and exterior).
• Store and properly discard confidential records as needed.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• Remain sedentary (seated) for extended periods of time.
• Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work both inside and outside in hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry conditions. The employee may also be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. Work in confined spaces and on ladders/scaffolds is often required.

Travel

Extensive travel; valid driver’s license required.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma. 
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical experience.
