United Way recognizes Veridian Credit Union for community giving

That's why Veridian Credit Union partners with United Way organizations across Iowa, eastern Nebraska and the Twin Cities. These partnerships support programs that help people access stable housing, meet basic needs, build job skills and strengthen financial literacy.
The Cedar Valley United Way recently recognized Veridian as a "Future Shaper" and the second-highest contributor to its 2025 fundraising campaign, a recognition that reflects our shared commitment to helping people build stronger futures and healthier communities.
In 2025, Veridian contributed $114,000 to United Way organizations as part of the credit union's $2.2 million investment in communities across our service area. Through donations, sponsorships, grants and scholarships, that support helps nonprofit organizations address barriers to financial stability and expand access to resources that can improve quality of life.
Veridian's employees also demonstrated their commitment to our communities by pledging an additional $76,000 to local United Way organizations through workplace giving campaigns, games, challenges and fundraising activities. Together, Veridian and our employees contributed $190,000 to United Way organizations in 2025.
"United Way provides support to people when they need it most," said Molly Schmidt, Veridian Vice President of Information Technology.
