Scholarship Applications

Veridian Credit Union is now accepting applications for our 2026–2027 scholarship program, offering $20,000 in total awards to support students pursuing higher education. The Veridian Credit Union Scholarship will provide eight $2,500 scholarships to help cover tuition at accredited vocational, undergraduate or graduate programs.

 

Scholarship Opportunities for High School and College Students

Veridian's scholarship program awards four scholarships to high school seniors and four scholarships to college students, each valued at $2,500. These college scholarships are designed to support students at different stages of their academic journey.

“Veridian’s scholarship program is designed to meet a variety of students where they are and financially support the path to where they want to be,” said Ashtin Hotek, Veridian’s Public Relations Strategist and scholarship coordinator. “It’s an investment in the students and in the future of our communities.”

 

How to Apply for the Veridian Credit Union Scholarship

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on February 6, 2026, and each applicant must submit a 500-word essay written in response to the following prompt:

Credit unions are financial cooperatives driven by the principle of ‘people helping people.’ Share a story about a time when collaboration or teamwork helped you, your family or your community achieve a goal. How does this cooperative spirit influence your view of financial success? How can your credit union help?

 

The Veridian Credit Union Scholarship is administered in partnership with the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF). To be eligible, applicants must be a primary account owner in good standing with Veridian Credit Union. Winners will be notified in April and publicly announced in May. Additional Credit Union Scholarships in Iowa

Iowa students may also be eligible for the Iowa Credit Union Foundation’s Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship, which also supports both high school and post-high school students. This program encourages credit union members to explore cooperative finance and build a strong financial foundation for their future. Details on the Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship are available through the Iowa Credit Union Foundation.
