Papillion
Veridian is now open in Papillion, Nebraska.
Today is opening day for Veridian at 10324 S. 71st Terrace in Papillion, Nebraska. The new branch encloses 5,104 square feet, offering consumer and commercial lending space, biometric access to safe deposit boxes and a family-sized office to accommodate members with young children during longer visits.
“We know that awareness of credit unions is relatively low here in Nebraska,” said Cathy Alm, Veridian’s Papillion branch manager, “so we’re excited to introduce ourselves.”
As market president, Jay Ferris is overseeing that introduction. “Veridian is a community credit union. That means we offer financial services from a cooperative business structure. We’re not-for-profit and member-owned,” Ferris said. “The greatest misconception is around who can become a member. Membership is open to anyone in our geographic field of membership, including several eastern Nebraska counties.”
The branch’s exterior also offers an ATM in one of three drive-up lanes. “We’re a full-service financial institution,” says Ferris. “Instead of being a customer, you’re a member and an owner here. That may seem like a small difference, but when earnings are returned to you through better rates and lower fees, it can make a big difference on your pocketbook.”
