What is a U.B.U. account?

U.B.U. stands for Unexpected, Bright, Undeniable.

If you're 13-17 years old, you can become part of U.B.U. Club! As a member, you can get a free VISA Debit card, and there's no monthly fee or service charge. With a minimum of $5.00 in your account you’ll also earn dividends on your money, which allows your balance to grow. Dividends are figured on the daily balance and posted monthly. Over time you'll save enough money to pay for things like bikes, cars, stereo systems, and college.

If you're not going to need your money for a while, you may want to put it in a CD. With a CD, you can put a minimum of $100 away for a 12-month term or greater, up to 60-months. During that time, your money will grow at a faster rate than in a savings account because the interest payments are higher.
