Veridian to host charity 5K
Registration is open for Veridian's 4th annual 5K Run/Walk on September 24.
Veridian hosts a 5K event each year to benefit a cause that has directly impacted one or more Veridian employees. Last year’s event raised funds for Batten Disease research and financial support for Jaxton Engstrom, son of Veridian employee Brett Engstrom. This year, proceeds will benefit the Cedar Valley Cancer Committee's Beyond Pink TEAM.
The event’s route will follow the trail around Prairie Lake behind Veridian’s administrative center at 6525 Chancellor Dr. in Cedar Falls. Registration and check-in will start at 9 a.m., with the race to begin at 10 a.m. The event will conclude with food vendors, a bounce house, face-painting and more.
Early registration ends September 1 to guarantee an event shirt. Registrations will also be accepted at the event, though an event shirt may not be included. Details and registration forms are available at runsignup.com/veridian5k.
