Stronger Together
Learn more about the credit union difference, then sign up to advocate for it.
As a member, you already know credit unions are different than our for-profit, banking peers. We’re member-owned, not-for-profit and led by an unpaid, volunteer board of directors. We understand how impactful those differences are on people’s lives and in their finances. Together, we can make sure our elected officials understand the credit union difference, too.
The Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) recently launched Stronger Together, a grassroots campaign to provide credit union members with resources to share their perspective on credit union issues with their legislators. By joining the advocacy list, you can be notified when your representatives will be reviewing legislation that could impact your credit union and your pocketbook.
Elected officials regularly hear from lobbyists about legislation that impacts you. That outreach occurs because it can be influential, but not as influential as yours. As a constituent, your perspective is among the most important to your representative. To be sure you’re heard, sign up today to be a credit union advocate.
