In an effort to make financial services more convenient for students, faculty and staff, Veridian and the University of Northern Iowa have agreed to terms of a lease that will put a new branch in Maucker Union on the school's campus in Cedar Falls. The agreement with UNI puts Veridian on a college campus for the first time.
"We're very excited about this opportunity to further our relationship with the UNI community. Our goal is to make financial services more accessible for everyone at the University of Northern Iowa," said Veridian President/CEO Jean Trainor. “This is a unique venture for Veridian.”
The new branch is expected to open in late August. It will be a full-service location open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“The desire for a full-service financial institution in Maucker Union was identified by students in a spring 2007 survey. We're really pleased to be partnering with Veridian Credit Union to offer this service to students and staff at UNI,” said Lisa Kratz, director of Maucker Union.
Veridian will also be working with UNI to service its automatic teller machines (ATMs). There are currently six ATMs on campus that will be serviced by Veridian beginning this fall. An additional ATM will be placed at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, bringing the total number of ATMs on campus to seven.
