Veridian’s Home Banking uses
Identity Check, a process of multi-factor authentication, to ensure
the security of your financial information. In 2006, the FFIEC released a series of guidelines for financial
institutions to follow. The FFIEC guidelines state that username and password alone do not provide enough security
for sensitive information.
Identity Check works by occasionally asking you additional questions that only you know the answer to. Even if
someone else figures out your Home Banking password through phishing or Internet fraud, they will not be able to access your account. For this reason,
you should never share the answers to your questions with anyone not authorized on the account.
