How Bill Payment Works
Payments that are sent electronically will be deducted from your account on the Payment Process
Date. You will know a payment is being sent electronically when the Process Date field lists
"2 Days." If there are not sufficient funds available in your account or designated source of overdraft protection, the payment will automatically reschedule to be processed the following business day.
Payments that are sent by check will be processed (mailed) on the Payment Process Date. Because the mailing time for paper checks varies, it is recommended to have the appropriate funds available in your account on the Payment Process Date. Funds will be pulled from the account when the payee cashes the check. You will know a payment will be sent by check when the Process Date field lists "5 Days."
