Veridian® Insurance can walk you through all of your options and help you navigate the different Medicare and Long Term Care insurance options available.
Medicare Supplement Plans (MSP)
Sometimes referred to as "Medigap," a Medicare Supplement Plan is a health insurance policy issued by a private insurance company. Supplemental policies are designed to fill in some of the gaps in Medicare due to deductibles, co-payment requirements, and benefit periods.
Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)
Medicare Part C is a way to get Medicare benefits through private companies approved by and under contract with Medicare. Includes Part A, Part B, and usually other benefits Medicare doesn't cover. Most plans also provide prescription drug coverage.
Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)
This coverage is run by private companies approved by Medicare, which can either be Medicare Advantage Plans or separate Medicare Prescription Drug Plans.
Medicare Part D helps cover the cost of prescription drugs.
Each plan can vary in cost and drugs covered.
Long Term Care
Long Term Care (LTC) insurance is one way to minimize the risk of a long term stay in a nursing home or an assisted living care facility. Coverage is normally triggered by "activities of daily living," i.e. being unable to feed or bathe yourself, inability to walk or move from a bed to a wheel chair, and cognitive impairment, to name a few. These policies are also written by private health insurance companies, with very limited coverage provided by Medicare.
