Waterloo, Iowa: Mental Health Institute Independence Employees Credit Union is merging with Veridian Credit Union, headquartered in Waterloo. The merger is expected to be complete by January 1, 2013.

MHIIECU, which serves approximately 440 members, was started by employees of the Mental Health Institute in Independence.

"We're grateful for the opportunity to serve MHIIECU's members," said Monte Berg, Senior Vice President of Finance at Veridian. "We're working diligently to provide them a seamless transition."
