Waterloo, Iowa: Veridian Credit Union has released scholarship applications to aid students heading to college in the fall of 2013. A total of $4,500 is expected to be distributed among five recipients. Applications are due February 1, 2013. Scholarships are available in four categories:
- One $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship will be awarded to incoming freshmen enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or vocational program in the 2013-2014 academic year.
- One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to any non-freshman student enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or vocational program in the 2013-2014 academic year.
- One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in an accredited graduate program in the 2013-2014 academic year.
- One $1,000 ArtShare scholarship will be awarded to a student who excels in the arts and who plans to pursue educational programs leading to a career in the arts at an accredited undergraduate or vocational program in the 2013-2014 academic year.
The eligible applicants must be primary account holders in good standing at Veridian. An account can be opened with a minimum of five dollars. More information, including details on the application process, is available at www.veridiancu.org.
