The event will be at Waterloo’s UAW Local 838, 2615 Washington Street, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Typically, 650 people attend the dinner, and another 300 individuals receive home-delivered meals. Reservations are not needed. Frenchie, from Clip Art Corner, will provide free haircuts.

Individuals within Black Hawk County may reserve free rides by calling (319) 236-5600 before November 13. The home-delivered dinners will be available to those who currently receive meals from Meals on Wheels in Waterloo and Cedar Falls.

Veridian Credit Union and The Retirees of UAW Local 838 co-sponsor the dinner. Other businesses involved are Family Auxiliary #273, Gary’s Catering, Johnson’s Bakery, Anderson-Erickson, University Avenue Hy-Vee®, Myers-Cox Paper Company, Special Occasions, Hobart Sales & Service, The Insider, The Courier, Cedar Valley Hospice and Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging.
