Waterloo, IA - - - More than 300 people helped Veridian Credit Union celebrate the grand opening of a new branch Saturday at 5401 NW 86th St. in Johnston.
The 4,000-square-foot facility has seven employees and is a full-service branch consisting of three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM, six teller stations, a self-serve coin machine, safe deposit boxes and office space dedicated to mortgage and consumer lending. The branch and drive-up will be open for business six days a week.
"It was great to see so many new faces celebrating with us," said Shelly McGill, Veridian's central Iowa region manager." Everyone seemed to enjoy the variety of activities and prizes."
Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members.
