Coralville, IA - - - Veridian Credit Union is excited to celebrate the start of construction on a branch in Coralville, which will be Veridian’s seventh location in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor.
A groundbreaking ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, will bring Veridian staff, Coralville city officials and Chamber of Commerce members to the site of construction at 604 2nd St. in Coralville.
The Coralville office will be a full-service branch, and it is scheduled to open in fall 2011.
The 4,000-square-foot facility will consist of three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM, six teller stations, a self-serve coin machine, safe-deposit boxes and office space dedicated to mortgage and consumer lending.
"We’re thrilled to continue our expansion with a new location in the Corridor," said Justin Mager, Veridian Regional Manager. "The new branch will provide more convenient services to our existing members in the Corridor and bring the opportunity to develop new relationships in a vibrant community like Coralville."
The new branch is expected to be a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified building. LEED determination is based on the following key environmental impact categories: sustainable sites, energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, water efficiency, materials and resources, and innovation in design. Primus Construction Inc., headquartered in Cedar Rapids, is the designer and general contractor.
