Waterloo, IA - - - Veridian Credit Union’s Monte Berg has been recognized as one of the top financial officers in the Cedar Valley by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier and its Cedar Valley Business Monthly magazine.
Berg, who is Veridian’s Senior Vice President of Finance, was one of 10 financial officers honored by The Courier at an awards presentation in February. This is the first year for these awards.
Berg has been employed at Veridian for more than 21 years. Under his leadership, the credit union has grown from about $200 million in assets to nearly $2 billion.

The criteria for selection consisted of the following: demonstrates leadership in the company’s financial success; demonstrates skills in employee retention; and implements innovative methods to maintain the overall health of their organization.
