- - - Veridian Credit Union is pleased to announce it will be opening a new branch inside Hy-Vee located at 4035 Mt. Vernon
Road SE in Cedar Rapids. Bank of the West currently resides at that location. The tentative opening date for the new
Veridian branch is March 19. Staff will celebrate with Chamber of Commerce representatives and surrounding businesses
during a ribbon cutting on Thursday, April 12, at 8:00 a.m.
"We are excited to provide another location in this area," said Mark Koppedryer, Veridian Credit Union Regional Manager.
"We want to show the public the benefits of belonging to this credit union by meeting their needs and providing convenience
for their busy lives."
This new branch is Veridian's fifth location in Cedar Rapids area. The Mt. Vernon location features a full line of
personal financial services, including auto and consumer loans, deposit and new account services, and a surcharge-free ATM.
A grand opening event for the public is being planned for Saturday, April 14 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Adults are invited
to enter for a chance to win a $300 Visa gift card, or one of two $100 or $50 Hy-Vee gift cards beginning April 9. Winners
of the gift cards will be announced on KHAK during this celebration. Parents are invited to bring their kids for a photo
opportunity with Kirby Kangaroo. Other fun children's activities will be taking place during the grand opening celebration.
