February 25, 2009, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibit, to be held at Veridian's branch located at 5805
Rockwell Drive , is free and open to the public.
ArtShare is the award-winning program designed by Veridian to increase the awareness of young artists
in the community. Veridian will display more than 20 two-and three-dimensional pieces created by art
students from Marion High School . Veridian hosts ArtShare Premier to give students, their families and
the community a chance to view the new showcase.
The two-dimensional art pieces, which may include paintings, drawings, computer graphics and photography,
are professionally framed and matted by Kyle's Framing of Marion, compliments of Veridian. The framed
artwork will be returned to the students after it is displayed for six months. Pottery and sculptures
are displayed in an enclosed case in Veridian's lobby.
In conjunction with the ArtShare program, Veridian established the ArtShare Scholarship. It supports
the development of high school students who excel in the arts and plan to pursue educational programs
leading to a career in the field. Veridian awards one $1,000 scholarship annually for undergraduate
tuition.
