- - - Veridian Credit Union will open a new branch office in the existing Hy-Vee store, located at 4035
Mt. Vernon Road SE in Cedar Rapids. Veridian's new addition will occupy the area which will be vacated
by Bank of the West. The branch is tentatively scheduled to open in late March 2007.
This new office will be Veridian's fifth in the Cedar Rapids area. Other Veridian locations in the
area include branches at the Marion & Edgewood Hy-Vee stores, one near Westdale Mall, as well as one at
the corner of Blairs Ferry Road and Rockwell Drive.
"This additional branch will allow us to provide even more convenient service to the neighborhood,"
said Clint Diehl, branch supervisor. "Now people can shop for groceries and visit the credit union all
in one place."
Veridian's new Hy-Vee location, open seven days a week, is a full-service branch offering deposit and
new account services, auto loans, and consumer loans.
Diehl recently accepted the branch supervisor position at the new Mt. Vernon location. Diehl is a
Waterloo native, and he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of
Northern Iowa. He has been employed at the credit union for two years and previously held the position
of Senior Loan Officer at Veridian's Westdale office in Cedar Rapids.
