- - - Veridian Credit Union is pleased to announce it will be offering two grants totaling $70,000 in
2007.
The first of the two grants, called the Financial Education grant, will fund programs that provide
financial education for adults and/or children. Applications for this grant must be received by 3:00 p.m.
on Friday, June 29, 2007, and a total of $35,000 is available.
The second grant, called the Inclusive Community grant, will fund programs that work to integrate and
serve traditionally excluded groups or cultures in our communities. Applications must be received by 3:00
p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2007, and $35,000 is available.
"By funding impactful programs across the state, we are strengthening the communities we serve," said
Jean Trainor, President and CEO at Veridian Credit Union.
Veridian will hold educational seminars in January to give non-profit organizations an overview of
the grant application process and grant guidelines. The sessions will be held at the following locations
and times:

Information distributed at the sessions will be the same at each location. Representatives from
non-profit organizations are invited to attend the seminar that best fits their schedule and location.
"These seminars are a great way for Veridian to interact with local organizations," said Trainor.
"Hopefully, our conversations will increase the quality and impact of the programs we'll eventually
fund."
