Ankeny, Iowa: Veridian Credit Union will host its annual ArtShare Premiere on Thursday, January 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1201 S. Ankeny Blvd. in Ankeny. Select students from Ankeny High School will have the opportunity to share their work with family, friends and the community at the event. The public is also invited to attend the premiere. There is no cost to attend, and hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
There are 28 original works of art by Ankeny High School students on display at Veridian. Each piece is selected for the program by Ankeny High School Art Department leaders. Mediums range from digital photography and graphic design to paintings and pottery.
"ArtShare affords our students the rare and important opportunity to showcase their work in a public forum," said Dave Zuck, Ankeny High School Art Teacher. "Students take a lot of pride in seeing their pieces professionally displayed and sharing them with their community."
