- - - Veridian Credit Union has set aside $3 million for a special Storm and Flood Loan program. The purpose of
this loan is to assist people who have suffered property damage or hardship due to the recent storms.
The Storm and Flood Loan interest rate is 8.50% annual percentage rate (APR) fixed. If an individual makes
payments through automatic transfer or payroll deduction, the interest rate is lowered to 8.00% APR fixed
Borrowers will be asked to indicate the specific purpose for the loan when applying. The maximum loan amount
is $5,000 per qualified member, and only one loan per household is permitted. Individuals may apply for the loan
through July 31, 2008, or until $3 million is loaned out, whichever occurs first.
Individuals wanting to apply for a Storm and Flood Loan can do so at any Veridian branch.
