Over the last several years, Veridian has been working to implement green initiatives. We've been reducing costs, maximizing efficiencies, and leaving a positive impact on our environment. Here are a few of the things we've been working on:
- LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified building in Coralville LEED determination is based on the following key environmental impact categories: sustainable sites, energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, water efficiency, materials and resources, and innovation in design.
- Community Shred Day in 2011, Veridian held its third annual free Community Shred Day. The event drew approximately 3,000 people, who protected their identities in an environmentally friendly way by bringing 75,488 pounds of documents to be shredded.
- Encouraging green lifestyles for members through products like the GO GREEN Auto and Home Equity Loans
- Green Certification from the Green Cedar Valley Initiative. This certification is given to businesses taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, promote green practices, and encourage healthy living.
